NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) are seeking to commission a North Nottinghamshire Specialist Wheelchair Service for Children, Young People and Adults. This notice intends to identify providers who would like to express an interest in providing the above service and to invite all interested parties to attend a Market Engagement Event with NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB. Lot 1: *THIS ADVERT IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT*<br/><br/>NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) are seeking to commission a North Nottinghamshire Specialist Wheelchair Service for Children, Young People and Adults. This notice intends to identify providers who would like to express an interest in providing the above service and to invite all interested parties to attend a Market Engagement Event with NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB. The contract value and duration information will be covered as part of the market engagement presentation pack.<br/><br/>The overall objective of the Service is to ensure that the clinical needs and outcomes of service users who meet the Eligibility Criteria for a wheelchair in North Nottinghamshire are met in the most cost-effective way. To achieve this, the aim of the North Nottinghamshire Wheelchair Service is to:<br/>• Deliver a safe, effective, responsive and integrated service to meet the needs of Service Users, their families and carers with long term mobility conditions.<br/>• Deliver the right assessment, prescription and review of Service Users to ensure the provision of wheelchair/seating meets the individuals’ long-term mobility and associated postural management need. <br/>• Ensure Service Users receive a holistic (including lifestyle, social, educational and family/carer requirements) assessment through close working with health, education and social care professionals where required, <br/>• Ensure Service Users receive a timely and efficient service so that their mobility needs are met as quickly and with as few contacts with the Service as possible i.e. to complete the episode of care with minimal disruption to the Service User <br/>• Ensure that the right data is captured, in the right way and at the right time, so that service development and future commissioning decisions are taken in the most informed and robust way possible. <br/><br/>The event details are as follows:<br/>Date: Wednesday 13th August 2025<br/>Time: 1:00pm - 2:30pm<br/>Venue: Online via MS Teams<br/><br/>The agenda will be:<br/>1 - Welcome & Introductions<br/>2 - Specification & Service Model<br/>3 - Questions<br/>4 - Procurement Process<br/>5 - Questions<br/>6 - Close<br/><br/>If you wish to attend the event, please register on Atamis using the link below. Closer to the event you will receive a calendar invite detailing how to access the event and a link to Microsoft Teams.<br/>Please note interest is limited to two persons per organisation. To register your interest in this event please access project C377380 - Nottingham & Nottinghamshire ICB Wheelchair Services Market Engagement Event via Atamis: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome<br/>Please note the deadline for confirmation of attendance is 4pm on the 12th August 2025 after which the access details will then be shared.<br/><br/>A draft service specification detailing the requirements of the service can be found within the attachments area of the project on Atamis. Once registered, providers will have the option to give feedback about the draft Service Specification and also have the opportunity to provide comments on any perceived issues or challenges. The deadline for providing this feedback is 4pm on the 12th August 2025. Please note, this is a draft Service Specification which may be subject to changes.<br/><br/>Bidders who have expressed an interest in this soft market testing exercise will have the opportunity to submit a separate response to the invitation to tender (ITT) once published. Please note this is a market testing exercise and does not commit the ICB to carry out a procurement process.
