Description

The contracting authority wants tenders for one automated nucleic acid extractor/pipetting robot with US light for the AMR Research Unit at the Department of Medical Microbiology at Stavanger University Hospital, as well as equipment dependent consumables and reagents during the lifetime of the equipment. Any instrument dependent consumables are included in the framework agreement for four years. The contracting authority also wants an option for servicing during the lifetime of the equipment. The following have been changed in the requirement specification since the last publication: — requirement No 5: changed from fully automated to automated and the RNA have been removed, — Requirement No 6: the requirement for RNA is removed. Removed spinal fluids, tissues, joints fluid, pleural fluid and ascites fluid. The expectorate is replaced by respiratory passage samples, — requirement 7: removed RNA, — requirement 10: removed the sentence: ‘...and RNA from samples materials stated in points 6 and 7’, — requirement 31: added ‘State which species/species groups the system have been tested for’ — requirement 32: added: ‘State the clinical sample materials the system have been tested for‘ No changes to the other documents. Any instrument dependent consumables are included in the framework agreement for 4 years. The contracting authority also wants an option for servicing during the lifetime of the equipment. The equipment will be used for the extraction of nucleic acids from varying types of patient samples (sample materials) and bacteria cultures before sequencing with the help of NGS (next generation sequencing), both so-called 'long-read’ and 'short-read’ sequencing. The equipment must have good flexibility to be able to handle different protocols, varying sample quantities and extraction from different sample materials. The equipment will be used for both diagnostic and research purposes. The sample quantity is anticipated to be approx. 5 000 samples per year.
