Investment Pooling Advice

Legal advice needed urgently on the 2026 Pension Bill and requirement to pool pension fund investments, via a pool company, with other pension funds. We are in dispute with the investment pool company we wish to join over the status of our participation (shareholder or client only status). We have reached a critical point with KC advice needed but will be in breach of the law on 30 June 2026. The case is complex and we need to retain the lawyer who has worked on this for several months with us whilst she moves law firms (from Gowling to Keystone) on 1 July. This is essential to support the pension committee in critical decisions and reduce risk to the pension fund from its breach of the law and provide a link to KC advice. It will also need to go back to at least the Policy and Finance Committee for a final decision to join the company - and legal input is likely to be crucial to that decision. ## Contract award
