Magnetic resonance scanners

Description

Contract for one 1.5T full body magnetic resonance tomograph, including an RF cabin and spools in accordance with the proposed use, for delivery to Stavanger University Hospital, Radiology Department, Hillevåg Section. The equipment will be used for taking pictures of optimal quality of all types of muscle and skeleton examinations, including the spinal column and periphery small joints. The machine will mainly be used for elective examinations of conscious patients, children and adults, who do not require an anaesthetic. The estimated number of examinations is 20-30 a day, 7 days a week. The machine must have a high examination capacity. The machine will be installed in rented premises at Hillevåg. The available area is very restricted and there is no possibility of extending. There is motor traffic close to the building, and on the floor above there is a molecular laboratory with long-term storage of cell samples, which is sensitive to magnetic and electrical fields. The building does not have backup for either electricity or cooling. See Annex 2 — the Requirements Specification for more detailed information on what is requested. The contracting authority will have an option to expand the contract with the following: — service contract, — 1 1.5 T magnetic resonance tomograph, including an RF cabin (equivalent), — MRI compatible wheelchair, — upgrade contract, — available spools, — MRI compatible media equipment for audio (radio/CD/streaming), — phantoms for quality control, — disassembly of the existing MRI lab and RF cabin.
