Maintenance of Pentax Stacks and Scopes Equipment

This is a new contract requirement for the maintenance of the Pentax scopes and stack equipment used across Hywel Dda University Health Board. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is Pentax UK, and are essential in diagnosing, investigating and treating various conditions. The contract provides comprehensive cover for all devices, across the 5-year period. Lot 1: This is a new contract requirement for the maintenance of the Pentax scopes and stack equipment used across Hywel Dda University Health Board. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is Pentax UK, and are essential in diagnosing, investigating and treating various conditions. The contract provides comprehensive cover for all devices, across the 5-year period. Pentax UK has provided maintenance for the scopes and stack equipment since they were purchased in 2025, under the purchase warranty. Utilising the OEM for maintenance of equipment ensures that the required maintenance standards are met through using original parts and specialist support expertise, preserving patient care and reliability. Due to the complexity of the scopes, it is critical that they are maintained and repaired to a high standard, and there are no other suppliers in the market who can provide the level of service required. This contract will be awarded through the NHS Supply Chain Framework Maintenance, Repair and Calibration of Medical Equipment, reference 2021/S000-021535.
