North Northamptonshire Council is a unitary authority responsible for delivering the full range of local government services. The council was formally established on 1 April 2021 following local government reorganisation, replacing the former Northamptonshire County Council and the district/borough councils of Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, and East Northamptonshire North Northamptonshire Council operates under the "Big 50 Vision", which looks ahead to 2050 and focuses on building: • A Proud Place (strong communities and identity) • A Prosperous Place (economic growth and regeneration) • A Proactive Place (prevention, innovation, and inclusion). Current priorities include SEND transformation, early help and family support, prevention led health approaches, workforce wellbeing, digital modernisation, and partnership working within the Integrated Care System. North Northamptonshire Council employs circa 3,000 employees in a range of diverse roles. The service operates over multiples sites and venues across North Northamptonshire. NNC is seeking an Occupational Health provider able to deliver the following services and standards: Referral Volumes • Manager OH referrals: approximately 15-20 per month • Ill‑health early retirement referrals: approximately 2 per month • HAVS assessments: approximately 10 per month • Absence, Wellbeing & Mental Health • Active referrals for stress or anxiety to be made within 4 weeks of the start of absence, including access to Employee Assist Programme. • Psychology services where clinically appropriate • Alcohol and drug testing provision Assessments & Adjustments • Pre‑employment health checks • Neurodiversity workplace adjustment assessments • Reasonable adjustment assessments (non‑neurodiverse), aligned to organisational policy • Dyslexia assessments and support • Night worker assessments Appointments & Accessibility • Face‑to‑face appointments within 15 miles radius of Corby or Kettering • Double appointments to be justified on a clinical basis (e.g. multiple health conditions, complexity) Reporting & Medical Evidence • Employer‑focused, high‑quality Occupational reports • Consideration of medical records, particularly for complex health cases Prevention & Health Promotion • Support with proactive and preventative health measures • Health plan options (e.g. 24‑hour GP access, prescriptions, physio, eye care) Governance • Monthly client review meetings • Quarterly data analysis reports.
