Market Engagement for the Supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to Support Smoking Cessation Across Bradford District

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is holding a market engagement event for an upcoming tender to deliver Supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to Support Smoking Cessation Across Bradford District. City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (CBMDC) operates a dispersed smoking cessation model whereby smokers can access support within Bradford District via The Living Well Stop Smoking Service, Yorkshire Cancer Research and participating GP practices and pharmacies. This service offer includes behavioural support via Level 2 stop smoking practitioners using a 12-week personalised quit plan. This service can also provide Prescription Only Medications (POMs) through a Prescriber service, nicotine replacement products currently through level 1 pharmacies and nicotine-containing e-cigarettes (vapes) via an independent supplier. The Prescription Only Medications, guided by NICE, are: • Cytisinicline • Varenicline • Bupropion City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council are updating their stop smoking model to change how Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is supplied to service users as a part of The Living Well Stop Smoking Service. CBMDC intends to commission a single/joint provider of NRT to cover the whole of Bradford District to complement the existing Medications Prescriber Service and Vape suppliers. City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council require a provider capable of processing NRT vouchers via Quit Manager and delivering the medication across the whole of Bradford District to service users in a safe and timely manner. Potential providers are invited to attend this event to learn more about the service specification and the upcoming procurement process The Market Engagement Event will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on Thursday November 13th 2025.
