SO1215 Sirhowy Country Park Footbridge Refurbishment

Description

The project comprises refurbishment works to an existing timber footbridge within the Sirhowy Country Park, involving the removal of existing timber deck boards, parapets, and timber beams spanning between adjacent steel supports. These elements will be replaced with durable composite or recycled plastic alternatives to enhance longevity and reduce maintenance requirements. The existing steel supports will be prepared and repainted as part of the works to ensure continued structural integrity and protection against corrosion. Additionally, the scheme includes the construction of two reinforced concrete supports to provide support to the eastern extent of the existing footbridge.
