Description
This Age Friendly programme is to support the implementation of the Bucks Healthy Ageing Strategy (currently in development). The programme will employ an Age Friendly Co-ordinator who will act as an ambassador, to champion the Age Friendly approach as detailed in the draft Strategy. Working with Buckinghamshire Council, the Commissioner, this programme will implement a suite of Age Friendly activities. To inform the programme and delivery of the Bucks Healthy Ageing Strategy this programme will involve residents in co-producing activities drawing on insight from residents. This programme supports the priorities of the Buckinghamshire Health and Wellbeing Strategy1, in particular the “Age Well” priority to ‘improving places and helping communities to support healthy ageing’, and helps fulfil the healthy ageing strategy ambition to make Bucks a more age friendly place to live.
