Description

The project comprises the supply and fit of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC- U) windows complete with 36mm triple glazed + Argon filled + 2 panes soft coat low E + warm edge spacer for all windows specified. The contractors should also include for the supply and fit of aluminium alloy doors, in accordance with BS4873. The contract drawings show the extent of the work which includes:- 1. Removal and disposal of the existing windows. Supply and fit new upvc windows as specified, repair and paint of reveals. 2. Removal and disposal of the existing doors. Supply and fit of aluminium alloy doors, in accordance with BS4873 as specified, repair and paint of reveals. 3. All work should comply fully with Department of Education and Science Technical Guidance Document 021-1a. Summer Works Scheme Window Replacement Primary & Post Primary Schools 4. The Main Contractor will be appointed as Project Supervisor (Construction Stage) in Health and Safety matters. 5. All other works necessary for the proper completion of the project whether or not expressly stated in the contract documents.
