The Provision of Collection, Reception, Re-Use, Recycling and Treatment/ Diversion of Bulk Waste Services

Description

The contract is for the collection, reception, recycling, and treatment/ diversion of bulk waste. Lot 1: Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability (NRS) provide a waste management and recycling collection service to households and commercial business through out the city, with the collected material is taken to one of the council's waste transfer stations for reception, bulking and onward transport to the relevant processing outlet for that material stream. The scope of this contract requires the supplier to: - Collect bulk waste materials from council locations, as requested by the council. - Receive bulk waste materials delivered by the council. - Process and treat bulk waste to maximise the recycling and treatment/diversion of bulk waste from landfill. - Process and treat Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating (WUDS) contained within the bulk waste stream in accordance with SEPA guidance.
