The digital pathology system (“DPS”) should cover the following main areas: — Storage of pictures and retrieval, — Slideshow with annotation functionality, — Diagnostics assisted by image analysis, — Image sharing and conference functionality, — Necessary integrations. The digital pathology system (“DPS”) should fulfil the following aims: Flexibility as regards supporting the needs of both large and small pathology laboratories in the same system. Future orientated as regards further development in order to meet future regulatory requirements and the technical and functional development in the sector. User friendly, by having intuitive, logical and efficient user interface and workflow. Improve quality and patient safety. Increase the efficiency of work processes and optimise information flow. The digital pathology system (“DPS”) should cover the following main areas: Storage of pictures and retrieval. Slideshow with annotation functionality. Diagnostics assisted by image analysis. Picture sharing and conference functionality. Necessary integrations. The DPS system must be built on Helse Midt Norge's infrastructure and it must be able to integrate it with the existing and future infrastructure services and systems. The procurement of the infrastructure will not be a part of this contract, as this will be procured through existing agreements.
