Description
Harrogate Borough Council (the Employer) has around 3 900 dwellings and 150 public and civic buildings. Dwellings are generally of traditional construction and are no greater than three storeys in height. Public and civic buildings include the Harrogate Convention Centre, important heritage buildings, leisure sites, etc. The employer requires 3 contractors per lot as detailed below to undertake repairs and maintenance contracts with the primary purpose to provide additional capacity to the employer’s Direct Labour Organisation (DLO). Tenderers may bid for any number of lots providing they employ suitably qualified tradesmen and do not sub-contract any of the work without specific approval of the Employer The work which is being offered is day to day repair work and minor improvements and adaptations within the buildings and dwellings owned or managed by Harrogate Borough Council. The Employer does not guarantee any predetermined levels of work. Roofing Repairs and Roof-line Repairs – including chimney repairs, lead work repairs, roof pointing repairs, roof inspections, roof insulation, tile/slate repairs, felt roof repairs, single ply roof membranes, decking repairs, sheet metal roofing and non-asbestos cement roofing renewals. Also including timber fascia and soffits, upvc fascia and soffits, upvc gutters and fall pipes, seamless aluminium gutters. General building, plastering and tiling repairs – including excavation, brick and masonry walling repairs and alterations, render repairs, concrete floor repairs, paths and paving repairs and alterations, disabled ramps, drainage renewal and installations, sundry items. Drain maintenance – including drain clearance, high pressure jetting, camera surveys, root cutting, patch repairs, emptying and repair of septic tanks and interceptors. Tarmac and associated work – including tarmac repairs and renewal, road markings and associated items Electrical repairs and minor works – including fittings, renewal of circuits, ancillary equipment, condition testing, portable appliance testing, simple heating and ventilation, lighting, lamping. Fencing – including constructed timber fencing, panel fencing, gates, post work, timber handrails, plastic handrails. Decorating — including internal and external painting, stripping, papering, wall treatments, graffiti removal, masonry painting, and textured finishes. Cleaning and sanitation – including cleaning of empty dwellings, isolated deep cleans, graffiti removal, carpet cleaning.
