Removal of existing windows and doors and replacement with new to 21 domestic properties Lot 1: The properties are contained within the boundaries of the Falkirk Council area. There are approximately 21 domestic housing properties within this contract. The works covered comprise: - Removal of existing windows and doors - Supply and installation of windows with timber glazed windows. - Supply and installation of replacement doors. The works will be procured under a traditional tender process, carried out under SBCC Standard Building Contract, with Quantities, for use in Scotland (2016 Edition – SBC/Q/Scot). The property will be occupied by the Employer and/or their tenants while the works are carried out. The estimated value of the work is 300,000GBP. Evaluation of the tender will be based on the concept of “Best Value” and will be on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. The tender will be assessed on a price/ quality basis (80%/ 20%). This allows quality as well as price to be considered and may mean acceptance of a tender other than the lowest priced. The contract duration will be 12 weeks from date of acceptance. A performance bond to the value of 10% of the contract value will not be required.
