Description

"The HSE requires the installation of a fibre and copper connection from the Main Communications and PABX Rooms in Block B to the New Communications Room in Merlin Park University Hospital, Community Nursing Unit. The works require the installation of a new the fibre link from the Main Communications Room in Block B to the MPUH CNU Communications Room. In addition a new 25 pair copper connection is also required from the PABX room in Block B to the CNU. The cabling will be conveyed through a combination of existing service tunnels and existing ducting. The main objectives of this project are: • To provide connectivity to the new Community Nursing Unit from the central IT hub in Block B. • To supply and install all necessary containment and mechanical protection as required to complete the installation. • Testing of all systems relating to the new fibre and copper connections. • Labelling of all installed cabling. • Liaising with campus IT. • Liaising with the Contractor on site at CNU in relation to sequencing of works."
