Description

The Agency for Cemeteries and Burials' main assignment is to ensure that Oslo's inhabitants are buried with dignity and respect, based on their religion or outlook on life. The agency will be built up under the municipality's vision of being a green, warm, and creating city with room for everyone. The agency manages Oslo's 22 cemeteries as agreed with the Church Council. The Agency for Cemeteries and Burials executes all care and planting on burial grounds based on commission from the Burial Administration. The Agency for Cemetries and Burial shall procure summer flowers that shall be planted at burial places and in the Agency's common flowerbeds.
