Description
The project comprises the re-roofing of 18 high rise tower blocks. The detailing of the new roof system at the roof edge/parapet is Contractor designed, as well as the new weighted edge protection systems. Lightning protection systems will be upgraded, and Motor Room roofs will be over-laid and access doors replaced where necessary. Note that Callow (1-111 Callow Place) and Gregory (121-239 Leverton Gardens) are not included in Section 5A – Work Schedules, instead allowances have been made in Section 5C – Provisional Sums. We are currently in conversation with the suppliers of telecoms equipment located on these roofs to ascertain if any can be removed and to confirm safe working practices around any equipment which is to remain. Please allow for these two blocks to be complete at the end of the programme.
