Description
The RSA is currently considering its requirements with a view to holding a public competition in H2 2025 for the provision of a driver testing simulator pilot programme as further described in the attached Pilot Programme Overview document (“the Pilot Programme”). As part of this, the RSA wishes to consult with the market in order to inform itself of the market’s capability and appetite with regard to providing such a Pilot Programme. The RSA is especially interested in engaging with suppliers of driving simulator solutions that could: • Accurately replicate Irish traffic environments, road layouts, and weather conditions; • Assess a wide range of driver competencies such as hazard perception, spatial awareness, decision-making, and vehicle control; • Provide structured feedback mechanisms for both test-takers and administrators; • potentially integrate with RSA systems in a secure and GDPR-compliant manner; • operate reliably in a public-facing, test-centre environment with minimal technical overhead. To this end, the RSA has prepared a short market consultation questionnaire aimed at obtaining feedback / knowledge from the market and would be grateful if you could complete and return it to us. Please note that: (i) the RSA may follow up with certain respondents to clarify the responses received and/or to view simulators; (ii) this is not an invitation to tender and there is no obligation to reply; and (iii) the decision to respond or not respond will not affect your company’s opportunity to participate in future RSA competitions, nor will it advantage or disadvantage your company in regard to same. If you would like to participate in this market consultation, please send your completed questionnaire via eTenders by 12:00 Noon Irish Local Time on Tuesday 15 July 2025.
