Description
HSE Maintenance Department of Cork University Hospital (CUH) intends to appoint up to three (3) mechanical contractors to a Framework Agreement (PW-CF9) for the provision of emergency call-out services, planned and reactive maintenance, and general small works across the locations identified. The Framework Agreement shall operate in accordance with the call-off procedures set out in Appendix 9. Following completion of the evaluation process, the highest-scoring tenderer from among the framework members shall be awarded a Term Maintenance Contract (PW-CF11 v1.5). All other requirements arising under the Framework Agreement shall be delivered by way of call-off contracts, utilising but not limited to the Short-Term Contract form FTS-6 v1.5, in accordance with the Framework terms. The works will generally involve the provision of all necessary personnel, materials, plant, and equipment to carry out mechanical maintenance and associated small works. Works will, where practicable, be undertaken during normal working hours; however, due to the operational requirements of healthcare facilities, works may be required outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends. Typical works may include mechanical and building services maintenance such as boilers, flue systems, heating circuits, and associated mechanical installations. The HSE gives no guarantee in respect of the volume, value, or frequency of works, nor the number of personnel required at any time. The contractor may be appointed, where required, as Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) and/or Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage (PSCS) in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013, as amended or replaced from time to time. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award individual minor works packages directly to the successful tenderer up to a maximum value of €50,000 per works package. Tenderers should note that additional projects of this nature may arise during the lifetime of the Framework Agreement or any resulting contracts. Any additional resources required to deliver such projects shall be separate from, and additional to, those proposed for routine maintenance activities, and shall be provided to the satisfaction of the Contracting Authority. The Contracting Entity also reserves the right to procure requirements falling within the scope of the Contract outside the Contract.
