Description

Design and construction of 4.8 MW substation on the island of Eday, Orkney Lot 1: We wish to appoint a contractor to design, procure, install and commission a 4.8 MW onshore tidal generation substation. Design Works - Site layout design. - Civil design of the substation. - Electrical design of the substation lighting and small power circuits. - Electrical design for the balance of plant equipment required to facilitate the power export. - Electrical design of the site earthing system. Construction works - Construction of the substation building(s). - Construction of foundation for SSEN shunt reactor. - Supply and construction of earthing systems. - Supply and construction installation of the 33 kV and 11 kV switchgear, and transformer and associated equipment. - Commissioning of all site equipment. - Provision of documentation.
