GLA Helicopter Services 2015

Description

Modification Notice Original description: Helicopters. Support helicopters. Hire of air transport equipment with crew. Provision of helicopter services for the General Lighthouse Authorities in the UK and Republic of Ireland. This will be a collaborative provision. The services required include the transportation of staff, contractors and approved passengers between shore bases, ships, lighthouse stations and other sites together with personal effects, equipment, materials and other required cargo which involves under slung loads. Description of the modifications The contract will be extended by an additional 2 years to allow for a review of the services and a new tender to be undertaken. Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor: Due to the impact of Brexit the review of the services and requirements to enable continuation of services across the full GLA's UK wide and Ireland, we require a short extension to the contract to undertake the new tender process.
