Invitation to Tender - Political monitoring service

The Ombudsman is inviting tenders for the provision of political monitoring service tailored to the needs of the office.The focus of the service will be on:• the Welsh Parliament and Welsh Government• the parties represented in the Welsh Parliament• the key stakeholders in Wales responsible for scrutinising the delivery of public services in Wales and contributing their insights to the policy process (such as Audit Wales, Health Inspectorate Wales or Care Inspectorate Wales).The provider of this service will supply a comprehensive and timely service, updating on political developments relevant to the organisations listed above, covering subject areas concerning public services in Wales and the standards of conduct in local democracy in Wales.The Ombudsman may also occasionally require more detailed briefings on specific subjects, as well as advice and support on projects focused on engagement with Members of the Senedd and their staff. The supplier should have expertise and capacity to support the Ombudsman in such projects, for which an additional fee may be chargeable.Of particular importance will be the developments in relation to the health, local government and housing services in Wales, since those services account for the largest proportion of our complaints; as well as developments directly impacting the Ombudsman’s office.
