It was initiated after it became clear that several essential Aruba devices, particularly wireless controllers, had reached the end of their existing support term, creating a significant operational and service‑continuity risk. Given that these controllers underpin the wider wireless estate, ensuring they remain fully supported is critical to maintaining network stability, performance, and resilience. This support package re‑establishes full vendor-backed coverage across the wireless estate, giving NHS Highland access to firmware updates, security patches, bug fixes, and direct technical escalation channels.
