Description

Stopping the inadvertent introduction of a new pest or pathogen on visitor footwear at Benmore Botanic Garden is a priority given the iconic nature of the Benmore landscape. We wish to hear from a contractor who can design and build a bespoke biosecurity station for the pedestrian entrance at Benmore. RBGE is looking for: The supply of a stand-alone, covered, biosecurity station with its own water supply to allow visitors to remove soil and debris from their footwear before entering the garden. This would require fixed brushes on the floor and sides, water jets and a disinfectant applicator. The station should have room for interpretation panels to explain the need for the station and how to use it. There needs to be a swinging gate next to the station so that prams and wheelchairs can pass. RBGE is would be willing to assist in the design and innovation of a product which meets the above criteria.
