Public realm improvement works at Market Square, Ballinakill Co. Laois

Description

The works is compiled of three separate sections within the contract, Public Realm, SuDS , Active Travel. The Public Realm works involve the site clearance of an existing market square including concrete paving and concrete footpath, concrete road kerbing , street furniture, public Lighting trees and road signage, road marking, parking area while protect the existing structures within the square. The construction of new road kerbing, pedestrian kerbing and three new paved area, the installation of new planted and green area, the installation of new street furniture and Public Lighting, road signage, road marking and new car parking pavement. The SuDS works involve construction of new SuDS drainage and rain garden and associated infrastructure including gullies, kerbing, Aco-channels, pipework, manholes, drainage stone, growing filter medium and planting. The Active travel work involves the site clearance of the existing paved area and road kerbing. The construction of Bus stop including new kerbing and paved area and new new signage and street furniture. The contractor is also required to produce a video and photographic record of the project.
