School catering services

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at Kesgrave High School. The new contract will commence on 1.9.2016, for a 3-year term. The school has been successful in being granted a capital bid to build a brand new catering outlet which would serve our upper years and Sixth Form. It is also our intention that this new facility would be open from 8:00 until 21:00 daily and possibly on a Saturday to accommodate parents who are watching their children play football on the Artificial Grass pitch each night. Our usage of that facility is fully booked and there are four changeover periods per night. There is therefore enormous potential to develop a catering service in this area. However, due to the nature of the bookings (i.e. football mainly). This additional business may be seasonal. Contractors will therefore need to be flexible in their approach to this and demonstrate the ability to bring in additional staff as necessary to fulfil this requirement. This area and the requirements will be discussed in detail at the site meeting. Building work is due to commence around February with completion by August 2016.
