In this context, TenneT realises numerous large construction and maintenance projects for the development of the electricity network infrastructure, which requires complex long-term plans that involve various stakeholders, e.g. suppliers, communities or NGO’s. Thus, the success of such projects – and TenneT – strongly depends on stable supply chains on the one hand and on flexible supply on the other hand in order to be able to react on a changing project environment. TenneT understands supply chain management (SCM) as a key success factor and intends to involve consultancy support in this field. The range of SCM advisory services stretches over the following items: 1) supply chain strategy and organisation; 2) demand planning; 3) supplier management; 4) supply chain logistics; 5) market analyses in relevant categories of heavy asset industries of a DSO/TSO; 6) supply chain risk management. For the above mentioned six (6) fields o f SCM consultancy TenneT intends to sign framework agreements with suitable consulting companies for a period of three (3) years with two (2) extension options of further one (1) year each.
