Description

The reason for the contract is that, according to the Public Library Act, County libraries can enter contracts on joint library services and lending cooperation. The remote lending scheme is a national co-operation, where the libraries display the book collections to lenders at other libraries. The transport service includes lending and returning books and other materials between the County’s libraries, as well as outside the County and other parts of Norway. The contract for library transport in the Inland County is carried out as a collaboration between the Inland County, c/o the County library on behalf of the public libraries in the municipalities, the school libraries in 6th form colleges, and the libraries at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN University) as well as other libraries given in the attached list.
