Portable simulator

Description

The Norwegian Coastal Administration shall procure a cost-effective, compact, and portable simulation system that can complement / replace current systems in use by the Norwegian Coastal Administration. By using a portable system, other occupational groups in the Norwegian Coastal Administration will be able to utilize the simulation platform. For further information see the tender documents. Lot 1: Pilots, nautical personnel, and shipping companies are currently using simulators as a training and exercise platform for their operations. The Norwegian Coastal Administration wants other user groups, such as transport planners, to also be able to utilize the simulator for visualization of maritime safety measures, such as future marking plans. The simulator can contribute to better interaction between transport planners and navigators, for evaluation of various transport measures in the fairway, e.g., marking plans. The portable simulation platform shall contribute to providing the Norwegian Coastal Administration added value in the form of: - Minor deviations in performed work operations - Increased interdisciplinary collaboration - Increased quality in the Norwegian Coastal Administration's planning work - Improved decision basis See the tender documentation for further information.
