NRS requires an external service provider to supply, deliver, and install replacement imaging equipment across its three imaging teams. This includes: One large-format scanning station for Thomas Thomson House (TTH) Three imaging stations for New Register House (NRH), including one with a v-shaped cradle for fragile records Six colour-accurate wide-screen monitors for GRH and TTH The equipment will support NRS’ statutory services, Scotland’s People programme, conservation projects, and future commercial digitisation opportunities. It is essential for maintaining service continuity, improving image quality, and preserving vulnerable records in line with NRS’ strategic objectives.
