Insourcing of Clinical Support Services

Description

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust ("the Authority") required the provision of consultant led Rheumatology outpatient services delivered from Bognor War Memorial Hospital.<br/><br/>The Authority intends to award a contract via SBS Framework SBS10203 - Insourcing of Clinical Support Services, following a Direct Award - Process C, in accordance with The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (“PSR 2023”). Lot 1: Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust ("the Authority") required the provision of consultant led Rheumatology outpatient services delivered from Bognor War Memorial Hospital.<br/><br/>The Authority intends to award a contract via SBS Framework SBS10203 - Insourcing of Clinical Support Services, following a Direct Award - Process C, in accordance with The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (“PSR 2023”), to Medinet Clinical Services Limited, based on service delivery to date, value for money and capability within this area of healthcare provision.<br/><br/>The provider will deliver a consultant led Rheumatology Outpatient service six (6) days per month in West Sussex.<br/><br/>Services provided will include:<br/>• Calling the patient into the clinic room when ready<br/>• Organising onward referrals<br/>• Requesting diagnostics<br/>• Following up and reviewing diagnostics<br/>• Completing outcomes sheets for each patient and associated onward processes<br/>• Completing infection prevention processes after each appointment<br/>• Document any joint injections<br/>• Ensuring patient consent prior to any treatment is obtained and recorded<br/>• Dictating letters (if required) to capture outcome of the outpatient clinic<br/>• Contact the on call team if a patient needs admission on the day<br/>• Prompt Notification of any incidents <br/><br/>The approximate value of the contract is estimated to be £108,000.00 with services to be provided between 01/12/2024 - 30/09/2025.
