The Council is engaging the market to gauge supplier capacity, experience and innovation ahead of formal tendering. Suppliers are invited to participate in a Market Engagement Event and, following this, may be selected for 1:1 discussions subject to submission of a short questionnaire. These activities aim to support robust market insight, promote supply chain resilience, and ensure that forthcoming procurements reflect best practice, legislative requirements and the practical realities of current construction market conditions. The information gathered will help shape upcoming tender documentation, procurement strategies and delivery expectations across the programme. This is an opportunity for the market, including Tier 1, Tier 2 and local SME contractors, to gain an understanding about the various projects the Council has in the pipeline. It is estimated that approximately 10-15 projects will be discussed at this event.
