Description

Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) is seeking a supplier to appoint and manage the multidisciplinary Design Team required for the Cremator Plant Replacement & Site Expansion project at Great Yarmouth Crematorium. The selected supplier will: • Recruit or appoint internally a design team tailored to the technical and regulatory needs of this project (with local sourcing where possible). • Manage and coordinate the Design Team from appointment through to RIBA Stage completion. • Integrate the cremator equipment manufacturer’s design requirements into the building design process. • Ensure the design delivers improved facilities such as: o New control room o Viewing area for witnessing coffin insertion o Automatic charging bier o Ergonomic cremulator/ash processing areas o Improved public/funeral director waiting facilities o Enlarged crematory to allow the old cremators to operate during transition
