Description

To provide Information & Advice services that are timely, accurate, impartial, free and a confidential advice service open to all residents across Aberdeenshire which will primarily focus on advice relating to money issues, welfare benefits , income maximisation and housing. The provider shall provide Type I, Type II and Type III services to residents in Aberdeenshire (as defined by the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers Quality Assurance Framework (SNSIAP) 2009) and ensure compliance with relevant accreditation schemes as administered and introduced by the Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB). Lot 1: Banff & Buchan Area To provide Type I, II and III level information & Advice to be provided to the residents within the Banff and Buchan area providing them with a modernised service delivery model that shall: Provide impartial high-quality confidential advice on a variety of issues including benefits, and housing for free to users’ Use a variety of service delivery methods including telephone services and digital platforms. Provide Specialist money advice and benefit advice including budgeting, income maximisation. Provide Outreach advice sessions including home visits to housebound residents, giving priority to those living in remote and rural areas. Provide Recruitment, training and support of volunteers. Provide accurate and consistent responsible advice in a manner that is cost effective, flexible, accountable and accessible. Support the Tackling Poverty & Inequalities strategic partnership to the reduction of Child Poverty within Aberdeenshire, through supplying data of services delivered to families, Deliver locally, demonstrating effective links through using the place plans to strengthen partnership working at an area level. Deliver quality standards set out in the “Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers: A Quality Assurance Framework 2009” at appropriate levels.
