School catering services

Description

The Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP) is a Multi Academy Trust operating in Kent which comprises of 22 schools of which 17 are primary schools. This tender is for catering services at the primary schools. There is also a separate tender that is following a similar procurement timeline for the secondary schools within the Trust. Of the Trust's 17 primary schools, 16 are planned to join the contract initially. In addition one non-Trust primary school, who currently receives their meals delivered from one of the Trust primary schools, is also planned to join the contract. The Contract period will be for 3 years initially with the option to extend for 2 further 1-year periods. The vast majority of schools will be joining the contract from January 2018 with a small number joining the contract later when their current contracts expire. The Trust requires the services of a competent and professional outsourced catering provider who can provide a range of nutritious meals to students and staff which meet and exceed Government standards. The Contract period will be for 3 years initially with the option to extend for 2 further 1-year periods. The vast majority of schools will be joining the contract from January 2018 with a small number joining the contract later when their current contracts expire. The Trust's primary schools currently receive their catering services from a range of providers including in house and multiple outsourced providers of which some are via LA contracts. Some of the catering staff are members of LGPS.
