Tigh Dearg Road Drainage scheme

Description

The project aims are to reduce surface water and foul sewer flooding by : Construct 600mm diameter surface water drain down Tigh Dearg Road that will carry runoff from Argyll Road and the land above.The surface water drain will be design to carry the 1 in 200 year runoff from the adjacent catchment plus an additional 20 % to allow for climate change. Constrcut 150mm diameter foul drain down Tigh Dearg Road that will carry sewage from the properties on Tigh Dearg Road to the main sewer on the B833 Shore Road. The new drainage scheme will greatly reduce the incidence of flooding in the area and the amount of surface water entering Scottish Water drainage system.
