Description
The framework agreement is for the supply of external defibrillation devices, resuscitation and simulation manikins and related accessories including automated external defibrillators (AED) for public access use, automated external defibrillators (AED) with manual override, manual defibrillators suitable for hospital and ambulance use, mechanical chest compression devices and resuscitation and simulation manikins. Lot 1 of the framework will cover the provision of the automatic external defibrillators (AEDS) suitable for use in hospitals, the emergency services, the education sector and public areas. These devices are designed to be able to be effectively used by a lay responder to administer life support in the event of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest. The framework agreement will have an initial term of 24 months with an option to extend incrementally for up to a total period of 48 months. Lot 2 of the framework will cover the provision of the automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) with manual override suitable for use in various healthcare settings. These devices are designed to be able to be effectively used by a lay responder or less qualified medical professional to provide life support in the event of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest whilst in AED mode but also have the ability to be switched into manual mode for use by a professional. Lot 3 of the framework will cover the provision of the manual defibrillators suitable for use in hospitals and other healthcare settings. These devices are designed for use by a professional in the event of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest. Lot 4 of the framework will cover the provision of manual defibrillators suitable for use in ambulances and other healthcare settings. These devices are designed to be used by a professional in the event of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest. Lot 5 of the framework will cover the provision of mechanical chest compression devices. These devices are designed to be used by a professional in the event of someone experiencing a cardiac arrest. Lot 6 of the framework will cover the provision of resuscitation manikins, these will cover both training devices that are designed to be used in a professional training setting and basic training devices. Lot 7 of the framework will cover the provision of simulation manikins, these will cover both training devices that are designed to be used in a professional training setting and basic training devices.
