Landslinjeskolene [the Nationwide sixth form colleges scheme] for education in civil engineering and heavy equipment mechanic are planning a procurement of 6 frame-controlled dump trucks in the weight class given above. The dump trucks shall be used for training of machine operators and heavy equipment mechanics. Access to digital diagnostic software and the possibility of extracting user information must be accessible. The environmental profile of the machines is important for us as education institutions. This is a joint announcement for all of the colleges, but each individual college is responsible for the financial settlement for its machine. This means that the individual contracts must be prepared for the individual college. The dump trucks shall be used for training of machine operators and heavy equipment mechanics. Colleges and geographical preferences will create a need for individual adaptations. These adaptations will be agreed afterwards, based on the tenderer´s list of adaptations/additional equipment described in annexes 2 and 4. Access to, and training in, digital systems for troubleshooting / diagnosis is an absolute requirement as the dumper trucks shall be used for the training of heavy equipment mechanics. This also applies access to a multi-use version of the spar-parts catalogue / workshop handbook for our teachers and students. In connection with our machine operator training, we must also have the opportunity to read user data. In addition access is wanted for relevant components/models for pupil training. The environmental profile of the machines is important for us as education institutions. Thus, emphasis will be put on the environmental class of the engine and options for using renewable diesel, cf. standard EN 15940. The possibility for using biodegradable oils / lubricants will also be emphasized.
