Description
Procurement Project for: The Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB) has a project to replace both SAN's in Edinburgh and Oban as the current Dell EMC VNX5300's reach end of life and support on 31 December 2020 with a like for like replacement. In addition there are two Fibre switches currently in use at each site that are no longer under support due to their age. This equipment is critical to the running of the NLB's network infrastructure and their replacement must be carried out with the utmost speed. The NLB use VMware and host virtual servers disks on the datastores on these SAN's. These virtual servers encompass Email, Document Management, Database and Application Servers as well as our Citrix servers that are used for remote acess to data and applications. These servers are critical to the day to day operation of the NLB network. Data migration from the current VNX5300's to the new SAN's is also required.
