Award of Chiller Replacement Works, OpTIC Technology Centre, St Asaph

Description

This contract for the supply, delivery and installation of two industrial chillers at the OpTIC Technology Centre, St Asaph was awarded following a mini competition under Lot 1 of the North Wales Construction Partnership framework, advertised on Sell2Wales under reference NOV566007 on 28 November 2025. The existing chillers had reached the end of their serviceable life. The works comprised removal of the existing units and the supply, delivery and installation of two replacement industrial chillers on the roof of the OpTIC Technology Centre, connecting to existing services. The OpTIC Technology Centre is a business and technology centre at St Asaph, owned and operated by Wrexham University, specialising in optical systems, product development, engineering and technology consulting, with specialist equipment and laboratory space. The project is funded by Ambition North Wales under the North Wales Growth Deal.
