Establishment of a Framework for the Environmental Risk Assessment of Historic Closed Landfills and Unregulated Waste Disposal Sites

This Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) is being used to invite interested economic operators to participate in market consultation in respect of the establishment of a replacement framework for the environmental risk assessment (ERA) of historic closed landfills and unregulated waste disposal sites (current framework agreement (FWA) expires in November 2025). The purpose of this market consultation is to examine and consider the effectiveness of the current FWA and allow us to develop specifications to ensure that any future tender process delivers the optimum solution before commencing a tendering process for a replacement framework. Following market consultation the Regional Waste Management Planning Offices (RWMPOs) intend to publish a call for competition in due course on www.etenders.gov.ie and in the Official Journal of the EU.
