RTÉ invites submissions, from suitably qualified tenderers to supply satellite space on KU band for television and radio. RTÉ requires satellite space segments for its news services, other television programming including sports and special events and radio events such as outside broadcasts. Lot 1 KU band television: An ad-hoc requirement for satellite space segments for news, sports and other television services, with complete coverage while operational on the island of Ireland, UK, and mainland Europe. Lot 2 KU band radio: An ad-hoc requirement for satellite space for radio services, with complete coverage while operational on the island of Ireland, UK, and mainland Europe. RTÉ may also be interested in an option to purchase this 1MHz radio requirement on a permanent basis if proposed by vendors. Lot 3: Lot 1 television and Lot 2 radio combined.
