Network Storage

Description

This is a requirement to maintain and provide access to network-based storage. This contract is for NetApp Storage. Lot 1: West Lothian Council has various requirements to maintain and provide access to network-based storage. The Council's network storage architecture built on Net App technology, with associated vendor-specific skills and management platforms. There is a requirement to replace end-of-life equipment as well as for the provision for future storage requirements. Following an options appraisal and soft market testing of three storage solutions, the Council determined that NetApp-based storage infrastructure represents the most economically advantageous solution, taking into account: Compatibility and interoperability with the Council’s existing NetApp storage architecture Operational continuity and reduced technical risk Overall cost and value for money
