Replacement CCTV Video Management Solution (VMS) Request for Information

East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust is undertaking a Request for Information (RFI) to inform the future replacement of its existing Avigilon CCTV Video Management System (VMS), which currently supports approximately 280 cameras across multiple Trust sites. The exercise is intended to assess the market, understand available technologies, delivery models, procurement routes and indicative costs prior to any formal procurement activity. The Trust is seeking a secure, scalable and future-proof CCTV Video Management Solution capable of supporting phased migration from the existing estate whilst maximising reuse of current camera infrastructure wherever possible. Suppliers are invited to provide information on both on-premise and cloud-hosted solutions, together with details of AI-enabled analytics, evidential management, video redaction capabilities, security compliance, system integrations, support arrangements and future product roadmaps. The proposed migration is expected to be delivered in two phases, initially migrating approximately 100 cameras followed by the remaining 180 cameras. The solution must support at least 30 days of retention, integration with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, MFA, audit logging, evidential exports and future expansion to over 500 cameras. The RFI will also explore suppliers' maintenance arrangements, response times for defective equipment, available procurement frameworks and indicative implementation, licensing, support and expansion costs. The findings will be used to refine requirements, evaluate potential procurement routes and support the development of a future business case and procurement strategy.
