STAMI will procure a system for analysing gene expression using hybridisation-based technology. There is a need for a system that uses digital barcode technology based on direct quantification of nucleic acids by multiplexing. With associated molecular barcode reagents, this enables profiling of hundreds of mRNAs, microRNAs or CNVs on one platform with high sensitivity and precision. Lot 1: STAMI intends to enter into a purchase agreement with NanoString Technologies Inc. The contract concerns the purchase of the NanoString nCounter Sprint Profiler. Sample preparation should not require PCR amplification or reverse transcription (cDNA synthesis). Nanostring is the only supplier of this type of technology. The procurement will include - Instrument with the above specifications - Delivered by the Norwegian Working Environment Institute [Statens Arbeidsmiljøinstitutt], Gydas vei 8, Majorstuen 0363 Oslo - Installation and training (including training reagents) carried out by competent personnel. - Reagents for EUR 25,000 ordered within 6 months after the instrument is installed at STAMI.
