Description

The public health service is facing major challenges in the years to come. There will be fewer people to provide the care and the assignments will be more complex. Several Norwegian municipalities have i.a chosen to emphasise on welfare technology as 1 of the many future solutions. Since 2011 the municipalities have implemented a pilot project involving localisation technology (mainly GPS) for persons with e.g. cognitive reduction (e.g. through Trygge Spor ‘Safe Tracks’). The challenge for many municipalities is to find the technology and application in order to scale up and go from pilot project to ordinary operations. The objective is to procure technology that meets the identified user requirement and render it possible to scale the testing in such a way that each municipality can establish a basis for changing from pilot project to operation. The procurement will include various types of localisation units and a localisation application.
