Detection and analysis apparatus

Description

The European XFEL is a large-scale user facility for intense X-ray radiation currently under construction in Schenefeld close to Hamburg. After the start of user operations in mid-2017 it will be the most powerful X-ray laser in the world. To enable new experiments for the scientific researchers the equipment for the SPB/SFX experiments have to be extended by a new chamber, motion system and parts for the detector area. The scope of work is the design, production, assembly, testing, documentation, packing, delivery and installation of components for the Day Two Instrument (D2): — the Sample Chamber (SCH) and the Motion System SCH (MS_SCH) as parts of the Interaction Region Downstream (IRD), and — the Alignment Table (AT) and the Motion System Detector (MS_DTA) as parts of the Detector Area (DTA).
