The successful Supplier will be required to provide a comprehensive cleaning service, including daily term time and non-term time periodic cleaning, for eight schools within the Truro & Penwith Academy Trust. Lot 1: The successful Supplier will be required to provide a comprehensive cleaning service, including daily term time and non-term time periodic cleaning, for the following eight schools within the Truro & Penwith Academy Trust: •Berrycoombe Primary School http://www.berrycoombeschool.co.uk/website •Bodriggy Academy http://www.bodriggyacademy.info/ •Cardinham School https://cardinhamschool.co.uk/ •Kehelland Village School http://kehellandschool.co.uk/ •Lanivet Community Primary School http://www.lanivet.cornwall.sch.uk/index.html •Pensans Community Primary School http://www.pensansprimary.co.uk/website •Sennen Primary School http://www.sennen.cornwall.sch.uk/website •Tywardreath Primary School https://www.tywardreathschool.org.uk/ The Trust is seeking a suitably experienced contractor who has current experience of working within the school market place, ideally with a strong operational base within the South West of England, thus allowing for both adequate contract support and operational flexibility that is to be delivered to support the contract as and when needed moving forwards into this contract term. TUPE is expected to apply and it is anticipated that a number of employees are members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and therefore the successful contractor will be expected to gain Admitted Body Status (ABS) in order to continue contributing to the scheme. The Contractor may be asked to undertake works not included in this Specification. Aside from the cost of materials, where possible additional works should be delivered within the hours of the existing cleaning operatives or, where necessary, provided by additional staff paid for on an agreed hourly basis or by a quoted fixed price. The contract will commence on 1 September 2021 for an initial contract period of three years, with the option to extend the contract for a further two years. This extension will be granted by mutual consent and on the same terms and conditions as the original contract. The contract will be fixed price in nature.
