Oslo Municipality, the Agency for Education, on behalf of the 17 May Committee in Oslo, hereafter called the contracting authority, extends an invitation to an open tender contest for the procurement of bus transport for pupils to and from the children's procession in the centre of Oslo on 17 May. The aim of the service is safe, well-organised, and efficient transport of pupils to and from the children's procession. Each year approx. 125 schools participate in the children's procession in the centre of Oslo, with 25,000 - 30,000 participants. In addition to the schools, there are about the same number of marching bands. The contract will apply for two (2) years, including 17 May in the years 2023 and 2024. The contracting authority will have an option to extend the contract for up to a further one (1) + one (1) year, i.e., for the years 2025 and 2026. There is a need to transport pupils from schools to Akershus festning, where the pupils will line up before marching in the children's procession on 17 May. The first school in the children's procession leaves the main gate at Akershus festning at 10.00, and the last school leaves at approx. 12:00. The schools must arrive in good time before their departure time. Approx. 100 schools line up in the area: Festningsplassen, Prinsessens plass, and Kongens gate between Akershusstranda and Myntgata. The pupils are dropped off at Akershusstranda, by the fortress wall where there are two entrances to the fortress. The schools that will line up in Kongens gata are dropped off in the junction Kongens gate, Akershusstranda, at Normandieplassen, Pupils are to be collected at Rådhusplassen as and when the schools have completed the children's procession.
