Description

The Agency for Water and Sewage has started a project that partly renovates, partly establishes a new water and sewage plant with the accompanying infrastructure in the Mjølkeråen area, mainly along Morviksveien. The main aim of the project is to gather several direct emissions of sewage water to the sea/city fjord in one joint system that transfers and cleans the sewage water in Kvernevik Treatment Plant before it is emitted to the sea. In order to be able to transfer and clean the sewage water in Kvernevik Treatment Plant, a main sewage pipeline/pump pipeline (green line) is to be established along Morvikveien. The pumping will occur at several pump stations to a joint pipeline, a total of 6 new pump stations are planned, whilst 1 existing pump station - Bryggjedalen, will be upgraded/expanded. The pump stations are located along Morvikveien, as well as 1 pump station at the turning place at the end of Bekkjarvikveien (186/126). The project has a stretch of approx. 3 km, where the route mainly lies in a road or pavement.
